Lesley is an award-winning graphic designer and art director based in Colorado. Her experience as an art director and graphic designer has taught her that design, in essence, is about solving problems and finding the best way to visually communicate an idea, message or story.
Currently, Lesley is the senior graphic designer at Cohen & Co, named one of America’s Best Tax & Accounting Firms by Forbes, She was hired to manage and expand the firm's brand identity, as it relates to prospective client materials, advertising, sell sheets and brochures, social and digital marketing, event materials, plus internal communications and more. Her work has directly impacted the procurement of new business for the firm and an increase in the firm's brand recognition, specifically in the Michigan market.
Prior to joining Cohen & Co, Lesley was an in-house senior graphic designer at Medical Mutual, the oldest and largest health insurer in Ohio. Her day to day projects ranged from billboards to program ads, multi-page brochures to postcards. She was also put in charge of the redesign of the Medical Mutual's Community Report, a 64-page annual report highlighting the charitable donations of the company throughout the state of Ohio.
A bulk of Lesley’s work is featured in Ohio Magazine, an award-winning magazine considered one of Ohio’s largest circulated publications. She was responsible for the design direction and layout of the magazine, in addition to directing photographers, illustrators and freelance designers. Lesley strived to inspire readers through clean, well-designed page layout and photography. In addition to her print work, she redesigned the award-winning Ohio Magazine web site, ohiomagazine.com and was in charge of content updates. Periodically, she shot and edited short videos to compliment articles in Ohio Magazine and photographed small assignments as needed.
In her spare time, Lesley can be found hiking on nearby trails, spoiling her niece and nephew with sugary treats, snuggling with her geriatric cat, Mica, binge-watching any and all crime dramas and perusing the clearance bins at Target.
